Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer Intership
Location: Internships for Mandan Plant
Closing Date: Wednesday, April 14, 2010
•Design equipment and production set-up based on material and process requirements. •Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management and engineering/maintenance staff to determine quality and reliability standards. •Application of engineering theory and principals to problems of industrial layout and manufacturing production, and provide direction to the engineering/maintenance staff. •Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability; provides technical training to manufacturing personal in the processes and equipment. •Provide direction as needed to the other technicians, supervisors; prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
Education: Be an advanced student in Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public. Demonstrate effective real communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside the department.
